ABSURDITIES OF HUMAN TRADITION

David Weber
11th July 07

Just a few thoughts regarding the absurdities of some traditional "Christian" thought ...

If (according to the orthodox Christian view of eternal torment and the age of accountability) it is true that one who dies as a young child is assured of salvation, while another who grows up to an age of accountability is more than likely to be lost forever (as the vast majority of the race does not accept Christ), does it not seem that it would be a good thing if the whole human race could die as little children? If this particular orthodox "Christian" viewpoint is true, should we not be glad when one of our little ones dies rather than they be subjected to the great risk and very high probability of being lost for all of eternity?

Again, if this particular orthodox viewpoint is true (doctrine of ET and AA), and let's say that it is also true that approximately 90% of all humanity will be eternally lost, would it not also be true that 36,000,000 of the 40 million babies that have been murdered by abortion have actually been "saved" from eternal gloom and doom?

OH, HOW UTTERLY ABSURD SOME OF THESE ORTHODOX TEACHINGS!!! Most of Christendom needs to WAKE UP so that they might really come to know the mind and heart of God, rather than just know and embrace the absurdities of human tradition.

Of course ... the truth of the matter regarding God's salvation plan is that infants and young children, heathen, and "all men" will be saved indeed, but not according to the absurdities of human tradition. They will be saved according to the ONE and ONLY way of salvation; "by grace through faith," yet this is a salvation that will not be understood or experienced by the great majority of the human race until "the ages to come" (Eph 2:7).

It is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires for all men to come to the knowledge of the truth, that there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom FOR ALL, and this to be testified (to all) ... in due time (1 Timothy 2:3-6).
