"Verily I say to you, that all the sins shall be forgiven to the sons of men, and evil speakings with which they might speak evil, but whoever may speak evil in regard to the Holy Spirit hath not forgiveness -- to the age, but is in danger of age-during judgment"  -- because they said, "He hath an unclean spirit."  (Mark 3 28-30 YLT) [Young's Literal Translation]

I'm only going to comment just briefly on this passage of scripture, and that as a warning to the Lord's people to be careful that they do not insult the Spirit of grace when the Lord comes to them with eyes as a flame of fire and with feet as burnished brass. What I mean by this is that the Lord is soon going to manifest Himself as the rod of iron which dashes the earthen pots of man's carnality to shivers, and He is going to do that through flesh and blood human beings. Because of this; the severity of the coming, and the manner of His coming through ordinary but sanctified people, many people, even many Christians are going to miss God in this coming and attribute the sanctifying works and words of the Holy Spirit to that which comes from one who has "an unclean spirit." This is a very dangerous thing to do. Not because it is an "unpardonable sin," but because it is a sin that can cause a person (even a seemingly god-fearing saint) to miss out on the inheritance of the age, and that because they refused to recognize the day of their visitation and the manner of the Lord's coming to them; that which was intended to bring them to the fullness of their inheritance.

 ... of course this relates to the ministry of the two witnesses (Rev. 11). This is an earthly witness of a people in union with their Head, Jesus Christ. These witnesses will be clothed in "sackcloth," which means they will have a plain unnoticed appearance and have hearts that need no recognition from men, but fire will come forth from their mouths to make ready a people for the Day of the Lord.

Though these witnesses are a manifestation in the earth of true faith and pure love, it is a severe form of love that it rarely seen in human beings, so these will not be recognized as the Lord's true prophets (not even by many Christians), but will be under the blame of the entire world as an unclean thing; something that should be done away with in one way or another (in word, or ... in deed). So it must be for these prophets -- for they are sacrifices.

Beloved, faith lives only with sacrifice, and pure love only in self-denial. Thus, these self-less witnesses of which I speak will declare un-compromised truth to those who are appointed to hear their profound words. Some who hear their words will be able to receive them and thus receive the blessing that comes from them, but others ... they will blaspheme these holy servants, insult them, and count their names as evil. In so doing, the persecutors of these persecute the Lord Himself, and they blaspheme the Spirit by which these holy servants are given to speak. 

In short ...

Even those who consider themselves to be the elect of God are not outside of the danger of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. This is not an eternal sin, but is a sin by which one can forsake the inheritance of the age for the judgments of the age (and even for the judgments of "the age to come").

Beloved, if God comes to us in a manner that we dislike, or through a person who we dislike, or perhaps even through a person who we like but they come in a manner of expression that contradicts our preconceptions about God, we are in danger of blaspheming the Holy Spirit if we continually attribute the Spirit's works or words to those of an unclean spirit.

This is a sin that can effect our inheritance in Christ, because by constantly rejecting and considering as evil God's chosen means to purge, purify, and deliver us from something, we choose to remain defiled by that very thing, and will not be wholly sanctified, preserved blameless when the Lord comes to be glorified in His saints.

Dear ones; the Lord is coming with a vengeance to war against all that is keeping us from where we need to be in Him. At times this coming will seem most violent to us, but let us be discerning and not be too quick to judge, less we insult the Spirit of grace and reject the One who only comes to perfect us and to bring us into our full inheritance in Him.
