The New Ageing - Part 1

Hi Guys,

When you hear something ‘new’, ask yourself first, ‘Are my own concepts really older? What did the apostles believe?’ Everyone must make their calling and election sure (2Pet 1:10). Consider this before you say, ‘What strange new doctrine is this?’ (Acts 17:20)

I had wanted to write on the New Age concepts in the church. But others have written much about it already, so I’ve attached a chart from -
We focus instead on the ‘kingdom of God within you’.
Luk 17:20  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Mat 21:43  Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
Luk 16:15  And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
Luk 16:16  The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
Mat 4:17  From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mar 1:14  Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
Mar 1:15  And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Luk 9:2  And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
Mat 11:20  Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not
Mar 6:11  And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable [how is this possible if judgment lasts forever] for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Mar 6:12  And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
What was this kingdom gospel that Jesus preached? He had not yet been crucified. He had not yet shed His blood. What was He preaching about then? What were the disciples preaching about? Jesus had not been crucified, yet they preached remission of sins in His name.
Jesus was preaching about God’s rule. He was and is the embodiment of God’s rule. He is God in the flesh.
Elizabeth called Him, ‘My Lord’ when He was still in Mary’s womb. He was God right from conception, not just at the baptism (His anointing for service). Luke 1:43.
God’s rule began to be preached at the end of the rule of the law and the prophets. John the Baptist first preached about this kingdom (Matt 3:2). God’s kingdom had come. Jesus IS The Kingdom of God.
Matthew mostly called it the kingdom of heaven. Mark and Luke called it the kingdom of God. It’s not a place you go to; but a person who lives in you as a present reality. It represents God method of rule in the millennial age.
Israel, in Jesus day, knew about the kingdom of God. They were looking for the millennium with the Messiah ruling. Jesus came to tell them that He was that very Life of the millennium that they longed for. Right here, right now.
They sought for physical rule, He asked for spiritual reign.
I, Jesus, am the Kingdom of God. I am the Rule of God. Go not here. Go not there. Don’t look inside yourself. Look at me; I am right in front of you. Why are you looking for something else?
The kingdom of God is within you. The greek word for ‘within’ is entos. It means ‘in the midst of you’.
You’re looking at Me right here. It’s right here among you now. You don’t need to observe for anything else. Don’t look around. Look at Me. I’m here!
There are some who say everything Jesus said pre-cross is not essential. This is a grave mistake. He must needs give us the message before hand and afterwards give us the means to fulfil it! Such is the wonderful grace of God.
Christ in you is the hope of glory. Col 1:27
Since we’ve received of His Spirit, the anointing is within us. But we are NOT THE CHRIST. His Spirit in our spirit is ‘the Hope’ of something better. It is the limitation of His Spirit to ours that is ‘the hope’. The Holy Spirit has no limitation.
The glory’ (the fulfilment of that hope) is His Spirit filling every single part of us (spirit, soul and body) and transforming us like unto Him.
The New Agers search for ‘a God within’, ‘a Christ within’. They look for that part of self with the bright spark. They think that repentance just means ‘to change the mind’. A mental assent: ‘I am christ’. They know not that Godly sorrow worketh repentance (2 Cor 7:10). To repent means, ‘I am sorry, I will change course’ (Luke 17:4, Luke 15:10, Acts 8:22). They think that by saying it several times they will become what they say. They look inside themselves. They forget that Jesus directed His prayers upwards to the Father in heaven -John17:1. It is an attempt to patch up broken cisterns that can hold no water -Jer 2:13. They have hewed out their own reality; a reality that is not God’s own.
Sadly some of God’s people have fallen into this as well. Nevertheless, to their own Master each one standeth or falleth. God is able to hold all up to Himself (Rom 14:4). But Christ came to bring sinners to repentance, not those who would call themselves righteous (Matt 9:13).
But sufficient are the times of error. Our Lord arises, as one out of sleep (Ps 78:65). He is thoroughly cleansing His floor and the slain of the Lord shall be many.
May we heed the judgment of the nation of Israel. For God destroyed (rendered useless -apollumi) their soul (their religious institutions, their ceremonies, their life) and body (their physical representation, their nation) in hell (Gehenna -the judge's fire) by the hands of the Roman judges in AD 70. (Matt 10:28)
Let us therefore bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. For the unquenchable fire must completely burn the chaff. None can stay His hand (Dan 4:35).
Stay blessed in Him,
